Social worker accused of lying to Montgomery County Court

Social worker accused of lying to Montgomery County Court

A clinical social worker will have to stand trial in Montgomery County Court on charges he lied about his credentials.

Ira L. Bilofsky, 49, of the first block of Ridge Woods Way, Towamencin, earlier this week waived his preliminary hearing on charges of perjury, obstruction of justice, lying to law enforcement authorities and related offenses.

He remains free on $10,000 bail pending the outcome of his trial.

Bilofsky has testified as an “expert” witness in Montgomery County Family Court matters and lists himself as having provided services to, among others, the North Penn School District and the Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth.
