Police investigating Manitoba toddler's death

RCMP said Sunday they are investigating the death of a 13-month-old Fox Lake Cree Nation boy who was living with a foster family in Gillam, Man., as a possible homicide.

The child died Thursday after he was transferred to the Thompson General Hospital from Gillam, a community of 1,200 on the Nelson River, about 1,000 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg. He had been taken to hospital in Gillam Wednesday.
