Reaction to Decision on State Foster Care System
A problem plaguing Michigan foster children now has resolution. A US district judge approved a settlement between the Department of Human Services and a children's rights advocacy group to help abused foster kids. The decision calls for the state to hire 700 more workers. It also downsizes case loads for foster care workers, requires DHS to be monitored and creates a 24-hour abuse hotline.
Note: More Money!!! More Money!!!
Much as we would like to believe this is a resolution, it will not matter. The system is out of control here (in Michigan) and corruption runs deep. The only way to truly "resolve" the problems plagued by the CPS system is dissolution of the agency and creation of a new one--out of reach of the claws of county and state officials and other representatives.
ReplyDeleteCPS/DCFS are equal opportunity abusers...no matter what State or Country you hail from, these people seriously either don't give a shit about kids, or, have never been parents, so they don't know how to tell the difference between truth & fiction. Hard to believe they can sleep at night for the hundreds of thousands of innocent victims they exploit, underserve and/or cause to die each yr. due to the fact that they basically have no idea what they are doing!
