100 children at Rutherford?s library are waiting
Adoption is no longer the taboo it once was, as average Americans and, more publicly, celebrities, are embracing the special benefits the practice brings to families and communities.
But there are still more parentless kids than there are adoptive mothers and fathers to raise them, and many children can linger in foster care, their chances of being successfully adopted decrease as they grow older.
For years, the Heart Gallery of New Jersey has been working tirelessly on behalf of such children, and is bringing its unique talents for building families to the Rutherford Public Library with its "100 Waiting Children" photo exhibit.
