Expert: Law favors foster care over family

Across the United States, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members stepping in to take care of a relative's child face legal hurdles in securing child custody.

  1. It is true here in Canada too... foster familis get a lot more money per child they care for, then actual parents get in family support checks from the government. Very un-balanced!
    My biological father was a foster parent, I met him when I was 25.
    I was born in 71 and caught up in "The Baby Scoop Era" myself.
