A veteran Winnipeg police officer who also worked for a government child welfare agency has been suspended following allegations of sexually assaulting two 11-year-old boys.

Winnipeg Police Officer / Child and Family Services worker charged with sexual assault
On May 15, 2008, RCMP Winnipeg Major Crime Services were contacted by the Winnipeg Police Service and initiated an investigation into an allegation of historical sexual abuse. The suspect was a veteran officer of the Winnipeg Police Service and was also briefly employed by Child and Family Services in the spring of 2008.
