Sentences given in scheme to defraud state CYFD

Sentences given in scheme to defraud state CYFD

A woman accused of masterminding a plot to bilk a state agency out of hundreds of thousands of dollars and luring others into the scheme has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

State District Judge J.C. Robinson also ordered Andrea Munoz, 33, to repay $100,000 and perform 10,000 hours of community service.

Munoz, a former state Children, Youth and Families Department employee who worked in the agency's Silver City office until late last fall, was accused of receiving kickbacks from people who were fraudulently reimbursed for child care services they never provided between 2001 and 2006.

  1. shocked, no. I do wonder how they caught her though. Parents are ordered to pay guardian ad litem bills or Dr's bill the States for services they claim to provide to parents, but how do we know, they don't show them, and I did get my gal's bill and it's past wrong, that saga is ongoing, Ill keep you informed. Parents, ask for these gal bills, and they should be in the file.
