Buy a Frosty and Support Foster Care Adoption!

Is Dave Thomas anti-real parent?

Buy a Frosty and Support Foster Care Adoption!

Hmmm..doesn’t a Frosty from Wendy’s sound yummy this weekend? Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15, “Wendy’s will donate 50 cents from the sale of every Frosty product, including new Frosty Shakes, at participating restaurants, to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The goal is to raise more than $1.3 million to support the work of the non-profit Foundation and its signature program: Wendy’s Wonderful Kids (WWK). This program is filling a critical need by funding and supporting full-time adoption recruiters at local agencies throughout the U.S., the District of Columbia and Canada to march parents with waiting foster care children.”

Note: And what a weekend to do this. Fathers Day!

I ate at Wendy`s in Boston once and the burgers tasted like rotten meat, and the soft drinks were like someone spitted in them.

On top of that the restaurant was so filthy!

I will never eat at Wendy`s again, McDonalds is so much better.

  2. I think it's ridiculous to say that a child adopted from the foster care system is somehow being mistreated.

It takes a long time for a child in the foster care system to become eligible for adoption, and it's after years of attempts to rehabilitate the parents. People who are familiar with the foster-adoption process can tell you that babies are only eligible for adoption when they are relinquished, abandoned or when the parent is a 'repeat offender' with more than one previous child being taken away permanently due to serious abuse or neglect.

Also, "Real Parents" are the ones who raise you and care about you. Sometimes that means people who did not give birth to you.
