Foster mom accused of hurting 5-year-old
A foster mother was charged with felony aggravated battery to a child Friday for allegedly injuring a 5-year-old boy, Harvey police announced.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating allegations of neglect against Samantha Shaw, 33, a relative of the boy. A DCFS spokesman said the agency had not previously investigated Shaw.
