Mom settles with psychiatric hospital over abuse of 6-year-old
The mother of a boy who was committed to the SandyPines psychiatric hospital at age 6 has settled a lawsuit alleging abuse at the center.
Workers at the center for emotionally disturbed children in Tequesta forced Isaiah White into full-body restraints, put him in isolation for excessive periods of time and left him lying in his own vomit after he misbehaved, according to the suit.
