DCF Files Lawsuit to Avoid Paying Settlement to Molestation Victim

The Florida Department of Children and Families has filed a lawsuit to avoid paying a settlement of more than $600,000 to a 12-year old girl.

The girl was awarded that money more than a year ago after a jury convicted a Child Protective Investigator of sexually molesting her in 2000 when she was 5-years old. It happened when she was being transported to an emergency shelter.
