A legal horror show tears Oakland Co. family apart

Last Jan. 29, with her sexual abuse case against a West Bloomfield couple on the verge of collapse, Assistant Oakland County Prosecutor Andrea Dean called a psychologist named Sandra McClennen to the witness stand.

Dean was trying to persuade a judge to allow statements in which the couple's autistic 14-year-old daughter, who communicated by typing on a keyboard with the assistance of a teacher's aide, had seemingly leveled horrifying allegations against her parents.

On Friday September 12, 2008 the Detroit Free Press records that the Wendrow family - the parents of the austistic child have filed a lawsuit with the Michigan 6th District Court naming the Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca and prosecuting assistants Deb Carley and Andrea Dean guilty of false prosecution.

The American Bar Association website recently reported that Ms. Dean prosecution and failure to rely on a single valid fact was bizarre conduct for a legal professional.

The Michigan Bar has taken no action against any of the named defendants although it has been reported complaints of false prosecutions have previously been filed against Ms. Dean and PA Gorcyca.
