Jones calls for investigation into province’s foster care system

Opposition Leader Yvonne Jones has written the Child and Youth Advocate to officially request a complete review of the province’s foster care system.

Jones was responding to reports of a 20 per cent increase in the number of children in foster care, a shortage of foster families, motels and efficiency units being used to house young people, and that 25 per cent of children from Natuashish are in foster care, many outside the province.
