Abusive Foster Parent and Alienation against Birth Mother

Abusive Foster Parent and Alienation against Birth Mother

A close friend of mine had two twin boys that were taken from her at age 6. They were adopted by a man who used to be her supervisor at her job during the time they were taken. She did not ask him to adopt her children but he did this on his own accord and possibly as a move to gain control over her since he was interested in her intimately. He is about 20 years older than she is and is now retired. The kids are now 16 and they still live with the adoptive parent although he has allowed her to move into the house as well. She has since gotten her life back together and is involved in the daily lives of her children.

'Crisis' as Desperate Need for Foster Parents Emerges in Erie County

The number of kids referred for foster care by Erie County's Child Protective Services has increased in the past two years, which foster agencies said Monday highlights the desperate need for more foster parents.

Note: A pattern can be seen here.

  1. CPS fucks up and fails to protect a kid.
  2. You criticize them.
  3. CPS Agents can't handle the criticism, so they go of on child snatching sprees because it's better to be safe than sorry.
  4. They take too many kids.
  5. They lower their standards in order to house them all.
  6. More kids die as a result.
This is propaganda that is trying to convince the world that there is a desperate need to snatch more kids when there is a more realistic need to take less and help strengthen more families.

And Legally Kidnapped exposes the flaws in social workers.
The deaths of two Vermont infants this year prompted a legislative probe into the Department for Children and Families. And frontline social workers are now coming forward to help lawmakers improve child protection services.
But forget about hearing anything their victims have to say.
-----
And then there's this.
Kerrie Johnson, a former social worker in Morrisville who left the department recently to go to law school, said she’s been frustrated by the inability to admit hearsay into family court hearings. When children tell doctors, for instance, that their injuries were inflicted by a care giver, that information can’t be admitted in court. And she said abusive parents can easily convince children to change their testimony before a judge.
“And I just very recently was called to testify at a hearing in which we lost, and the child went home in a very serious physical abuse case, because we could not introduce this child’s statements,” Johnson said.
I'll bet parents could talk toh

Unsupervised Children: Independent or Against the Law?

Our nation has adopted a new habit of charging parents with felonies for teaching their children independence. From Florida to South Carolina to Ohio to Tennessee, parents of elementary age children are being carted off to jail for allowing their children to play in parks by themselves. There is no federal legislation that designates what age is too young to leave children unsupervised. Most states merely adhere to the guideline that leaving a child unattended in imminent danger is a criminal offense. But it’s absolutely ludicrous to charge parents, who sometimes have no other options, with child abuse or maltreatment for merely allowing their children to experience the world on their own.

Large worker caseloads aren’t a new issue for Clark County’s child welfare agency.

Nevada doesn’t have a regulation that caps the number of cases that a social worker is assigned.

Obama Foster Plan for Illegal Kids “Ripe for Abuse”

Current plans to put many of the illegal immigrant children now being held by the government into foster care is a strategy that is “ripe for abuse.”  In an discussion with host Rick Amato on the One America News Network, Project 21 co-chairman Cherylyn Harley LeBon noted an overwhelming number of young illegals here in the United States “can’t speak English” and are “not familiar with American culture whatsoever,” and they risk being lost or abused by a foster care system that cannot be trusted to run efficiently even without having to deal with the recent influx of thousands of children coming here alone from Latin America.

Sure it's a horrible tragedy when a child dies from abuse or neglect.

Hamill: Court ruling allowing parents to spank their kids could lead to further abuse

The New York Appellate Division ruled on July 19 that it was a 'reasonable use of force' when a Long Island father spanked his 8-year-old son for cursing at a party. The spanking also did not constitute excessive corporal punishment, the panel ruled. But this ruling sets a scary legal precedent and seems to be following a national pattern of making corporal punishment of children acceptable.

More Time in Foster Care Linked to More Psychotropic Medicating

More Time in Foster Care Linked to More Psychotropic Medicating

Children as young as four in foster care are taking three or more psychotropic medications, and the length of time that children aged six or under are being medicated with psychotropics increases two-fold for every year that they live in foster care, according to a study in Psychiatric Services. University of Maryland researchers studied 1,491 foster children aged six and under in a mid-Atlantic city between 2009-11. While other studies have shown that psychotropic medicating of foster children is high, this is the first to examine developments over time in care. “The higher likelihood of using antipsychotic, antidepressant, and ADHD medications for three or more weeks per month with each increase in year of age suggests a trend toward chronic use,” they wrote. “Such use occurred over a very short period of tremendous developmental growth.”
