In a letter sent to Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin on Oct. 26, Judge W. Mitchell Nance advised him that he would officially leave his post starting Dec. 16. His decision came after the state's American Civil Liberties Union, Lambda Legal, University of Louisville professor Sam Marcosson, and the Kentucky Fairness Campaign filed a complaint about the judge's recusal from same-sex adoption cases in April, Christian News detailed.
