More than half of British parents with disabled children admit to taking antidepressants

More than half of British parents with disabled children admit to taking antidepressants

The findings of a major new study by the charity Scope have shown the impact that a lack of support has on families of disabled children.

A survey of more than 1,500 parents, found that that almost half (47 per cent) have visited their GP due to anxiety, with 57 per cent being described antidepressants.

80 per cent said they felt frustrated, stressed and exhausted, admitting to ‘bottling up’ emotions through guilt, or fear of being judged.

Note: All of those wonderful things that will get one of those scary British Social Worker's up your ass.  It's one of the old, "Oh we can give him services if we get custody," kind of things I guess.
