Increased Cases of Child Abuse with New School Year
It's almost time for thousands of children throughout the Rio Grande Valley to hit the books again. The start of a new school year means a new teacher, new friends, sporting events and new goals for students.
However, Alicia Gracia Executive Director of CASA a child advocate organization, said unfortunately the new school year will also increase reports to child protective services.
Note: Yes folks, Teachers are considered the eyes and ears of the child abuse hotline.
