Father accused of murdering infant son pleads not guilty

Father accused of murdering infant son pleads not guilty

Gordon Collins-Faunce entered not guilty pleas to depraved indifference murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault and assault today in York County Superior Court. The aggravated assault and assault stem from earlier alleged incidents.

Note: This guy, Gordon Collins Faunce, was the guy whose meds recently changed.  He was taking them for PTSD after being "molested by various foster parents" while growing up in Maine's Foster Care System.  So there is the slight possibility that he wasn't in a stable or sane state of mind when he committed this crime.  This is not to suggest that he's safe to have around children or anything.  Just that he has a viable defense for lesser charges.

And Lawrence Ricci, who is quoted at the end of this article works for Spurwink, which is an organization that runs special schools and group homes in Maine and makes a good portion of their money from CPS cases, (about $280 a day in my step-son's case but that was a while ago).  So he's really not a credible source, just one of those supposed experts that the news reporters run to when they need an expert opinion.

In my own expert opinion, the reporter who wrote this article obviously wasn't looking for an objective expert opinion but rather, they are on one of those child abuse awareness campaigns that will surely drum up future business.
Dr. Lawrence Ricci, a member of the state's Child Death and Serious Injury Review Panel, has lobbied the state to allow the panel to review the case as soon as possible.
"Every day we wait to do an analysis, kids are falling through the cracks," Ricci said.
Yup, one sick f*** goes off and suddenly every other kid is in danger.  Kind of like the one bad apple spoiling the whole bunch thing.  Throw in the fact that everything's a crisis with these people and the parents of Maine have a recipe for disaster.

Of course all across the country, the normal people are in an ignorantly blissful state of child abuse hysteria anyway, thanks to the Jerry Sandusky case and the Casey Anthony verdict which has so captured their hearts, pulling their emotional triggers and keeping them glued to the television mind control and social conditioning device.  We all know how the normal people eat this shit up, gives them something to talk about at the water cooler.  It gives them a cause to gather around and makes them feel important without the slightest consideration for the possibility that all this talk about making more effective laws and policies to keep children safe in the Age of the Victim and could come back and haunt them the minute somebody formulates a negative opinion about their parenting skills.

But anyway.  Sorry for babbling.
