Child Custody Bill Clears Utah House

Utah courts could not consider gender, age, race, national origin, color or religion when deciding a child custody case in a divorce situation, under a bill that unanimously passed the Utah House of Representatives today. Representative Jennifer Seelig said biases that occur in government institutions are reflected in our culture, and this bill will help change that.
