Fixes to child-welfare system might make things worse, advocates warn
Some bills filed in response to the death by abuse of 10-year-old Nubia Barahona could actually weaken the child-welfare network.
Note: Well duh!!! See what happens is whenever there is a high profile child death and CPS was involved in any way, there is always a knee-jerk reaction to fix all the problem that lead to the failure, either toughen child abuse laws, give them more power to investigate allegations, pump more money into the system, what have you.
Yet no matter how hard they try to perfect the process, there remains one problem which Ron White explains very well in the following video.
