Respect for the family threatened
Note: I don't know about you, but I think that the writer of this letter is partially full of shit, because the government has no respect for the rights and authority of parents.
American law has traditionally had a great deal of respect for parents' ability to make the best decisions for their children. This respect is fundamental to the American way of life, and to our belief in the family. We do not believe in omnipotent bureaucrats micro-managing our lives. We believe in diversity, liberty, and freedom from unreasonable government interference.
