DYFS head admits proper handling of phone tip could have saved Irvington girl
The call came in to the state child abuse hotline after 9 on a Friday night. The caller, speaking with a heavy accent, said he was very concerned about "the height and weight’’ of two children, and curious "why their mother had to carry them.’’
