No quick fix for the child protection system

As you may or may not have noticed, the British seem to put a lot of weight onto the reports of these system suck experts like this Professor Eileen Munro and the creepy old Lord Laming.

The concern here is that they seem to think that these people have a clue when they're recommending the lifting of restraints which are in place to protect families from overzealous social workers who enjoy tearing families apart for frivolous reasons. "They need the freedom to do their jobs," my ass.

You give a social worker freedom, and you'll end up with ten times as many stolen children.

No quick fix for the child protection system

The Department of Education today published the final report of Professor Eileen Munro into the child protection system in England. After extensive consultation, the report concludes that the social work profession needs to be freed from a compliance culture and stifling levels of central prescription in order to allow social workers to have more time to work with families and to restore the heart of the work.

Also please make note that the guardian.co.uk will censor comments and publish total bullshit, as they seem to be highly supportive of the system suck mentality in the UK which is the result.

Munro Review: Child protection services must be freed from 'unhelpful targets'

Targets? You mean the innocent families who are destroyed?
