May 18, 2011: Perhaps buoyed by Oprah Winfrey’s public support of her, perhaps through discussions with family and friends, or perhaps because she has had enough, People magazine reported tonight that Maria Shriver has retained a prominent Los Angeles family law attorney. However, she has stated that she is unsure about ending her marriage. Her feelings must be similar to the late Elizabeth Edwards who learned about her husband’s love child and her goal was to protect her children.
