DCF Failing Foster Families

These families quit for a number of reasons, including the happy fact that the child had been adopted. But sometimes, the reasons for leaving are disturbing. In exit surveys conducted by the Connecticut Association of Foster and Adoptive Parents, more than 20 percent of families said they were leaving because DCF's support and services were inadequate and they experienced a lack of respect by DCF.
