Abuse by foster carers
Foster Carers undertake a very difficult and demanding task on behalf of the Local Authority. Children in foster care are often the most vulnerable and damaged children in society. Their background, behaviour and the circumstances of their placement will mean that those who have responsibility for their care and welfare must be attentive to what they are hearing and seeing, and ensure that all concerns are thoroughly investigated.
