State employees get furlough

Most Maine state employees got another unpaid day off Tuesday.

Game wardens, state troopers, rangers and others whose jobs are deemed essential were on duty, as were state tax help line workers, as the deadline arrives for Mainers to file their state tax returns; but most state offices were closed as a cost-saving measure to help balance the budget.
