Same-sex adoptions lose ground after Va. board vote

The State Board of Social Services has voted overwhelmingly against new adoption rules that some say would allow same-sex couples to adopt in the state for the first time.

Faith-based adoptions not for gays

Faith-based adoption agencies will not be required to allow gay individuals to use their services. Virginia’s State Board of Social Services on Wednesday rejected proposed changes to the rules governing adoption and foster case agencies.
