DCF investigates Daytona Beach home where child drowned

Police: Brother may have been involved in drowning of 3-year-old

Note: I think any parent, mother or father who came back from the bathroom to find one of their children dead would be completely devastated. I can't think of a more tragic situation. My heart goes out to this family.

Nobody's perfect. People make mistakes. Shit happens, sometimes with tragic consequences. What are you gonna do?

We do the best we can. Nothing will ever change the fact that people of all ages die, including Florida's DCF. It's always been that way. It's always gonna be that way. It's part of life. Part of nature. We are only human. Humans are, by nature, imperfect beings. And although that is a fact of life that the human race will never be able to escape...

Sadly, Child Protective Services doesn't see it that way. Nope! They come along to pour a little salt on the wounds, in order to "make sure the other kid is safe." They make accusations, "Oh this is your fault because you were neglecting your kid." They will stoop to new lows. They will take advantage of accidents, mistakes, and anything else they can.

These people disgust me. The hell that this family must be going through isn't bad enough I guess.

And the kid was 5. He doesn't know any better. Probably just being a kid.

What this family needs is the time to grieve. I'm sure this mother had no intention of such an occurrence. I doubt the thought even crossed her mind.
