Foster Parents Receive More Support Than Kinship Caregivers
Note: Which explains why it is a less expensive alternative.
Children who are placed with a relative because of mistreatment at home fare better in some areas than those placed in foster care, but they may have a higher risk of substance use and teenage pregnancy.

Within the UK,Social Services Departments and CPS,should consider the kincare clause, outlined in the Public Law Guidelines by placing children with an immediate family member like Grandparents, before ever using foster care.
Not only would the former save millions of pounds at the taxpayers expense, but would be a better option, preventing less emotional trauma to the child.
Grandparents often suffer from financial hardship, while taking on the caring roll, and have to budget on a miserly £70 a week, per child, some foster carers are payed up to £800 per week for each child.
One of our Solicitors recently won a test case,,resulting in a Grandmother receiving the same amount of money as a foster carer.
