Westport police arrest two in child abuse case

Westport police arrested two persons on Thursday on risk of injury to a child and assault charges involving a “shaken baby” incident in July

Investigators from DCF, the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s office and Westport Police Department conducted a joint investigation into the manner in which the infant was injured. As a result of this investigation arrest warrants were obtained for the foster parents of the infant. On Wednesday, those individuals turned themselves in to the Westport Police Department.
