Child Protective Services swamped with adoption calls
The Child Protective Services office in Gary has received hundreds of calls from people wanting to adopt a newborn baby girl found abandoned on a police officer's front steps, spokeswoman Ann Houseworth said.
Note: Thousands upon thousands of children available for adoption in the US Foster Care System. And they all want this one.

The reason for this is because of the media coverage. This is a chance for other's to realize what wonderful, generous, & self sacrificing whoever ends up with the baby people these are, although they never bothered to adopt an unwanted child before.
