Lansing woman gets 6-15 years for abusing foster daughter
A 32-year-old Lansing woman who was convicted of abusing her 4-year-old foster daughter and nearly killing her was sentenced today to six to 15 years in prison.
A jury last month found Monique James guilty of first-degree child abuse and third-degree child abuse. James was sentenced today in Eaton County Circuit Court.
Six to fifteen years for the life of a child and she'll only do half of that. How sad.
