Jurors need to speak up during selection

The most important thing a potential juror needs to know during jury selection is to be as forthcoming and honest with the judges and attorneys as possible.

Juror misconduct led to the Nov. 9 declaration of a mistrial in the case of Highlands County resident Frank Unger, who is accused of sexually assaulting a child.

A juror reportedly told counsel he previously worked for the Department of Children and Families as a child protection team investigator.
