6 year prison sentence in indecent assault case
Mario Cassano, 73, was sentenced to 6 years in prison in the indecent assault case concerning events that happened years ago to two young girls, described in the Supreme Court yesterday as Ms X and Ms Z.
As a foster parent and head of a children's home he had been placed in a position of trust. In court he pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of thirteen years. Each count relates to a different child.
