Janet L. Gentry: Candidates, push to reform child protective services

Dear political candidate,

I applaud you for seeking to make a stand for what you believe is right and good for the constituents you represent. I have no party affiliation and do not believe the issue of child welfare in this state or this country is defined by one particular party; it is an issue of what is important for the families and children of this state and this whole country.

Court documents state that you were accused and charged with neglect of your grandchildren while they were in your custody. These Court of Appeal documents also atate that you pled no contest. What happened?
