Watchdog lashes out at protection agency
Victoria's watchdog has again lashed out at child protection authorities, saying the government struggled to keep children safe.
Acting Ombudsman John Taylor told a parliamentary committee hearing yesterday that he still had concerns about the Department of Human Services' response to his office's damning reports, which revealed children had been raped and seriously injured in state care.
