Victoria's courts are failing child sex victims

CHILD sexual abuse victims face so much added trauma in giving evidence in the Victorian Children's Court that most cases aren't proceeding.

Child protection workers say that until recently, social workers had virtually stopped substantiating child sexual abuse, and putting forward cases only on the basis of emotional or physical abuse.
