Legal aid change 'bad news' for battered spouses
An attempt to save money could lead to bashed spouses being questioned by their attackers in court, the legal profession fears.
Justice Minister Simon Power is considering restricting legal aid for family disputes, saying it has become unaffordable, with spending on Family Court hearings expected to top $61 million by 2014.
