Victoria Police sorry for child-sex bungle
VICTORIA Police has apologised for its failure to protect nearly 700 children who were exposed to convicted sex offenders.
There was widespread condemnation yesterday of the Brumby government and the police that such a serious breach of the state's child protection laws could have occurred, and then gone unnoticed for five years.
