Let's ask the foster shrink.
Do I call myself Mommy?
If you were my child's foster parent, and I saw them calling you mommy, I'd be just a wee bit irritated about it...

I firmly believe that when a child is in foster care, under no circumstances should the fosters be referred as Mommy and Daddy!! This is detrimental to the child and confuses them if they are in continued placement. I think the author should look at the best interests of the child and how the bio parents would feel....they are fosters, not biological parents!!
