CASA for Teens: 'Chase'
A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer is needed for 16-year-old "Chase." Child Protective Services (CPS) removed Chase from his home due to incidents of domestic violence between his mother and her current partner, as well as the mother's long history of substance abuse, which has not been responsive to treatment efforts. The father has abandoned the family. Chase is currently on probation with the Juvenile Court for shoplifting and criminal damage.
Now I have nothing against anybody who wants to help kids. I have nothing against anybody who does help kids. But this article is a lie. What they're really looking for is puppets who will kiss the workers asses. So if you will not be a total stooge for the agency, and if you will not easily fall for CPS's bullshit, you will not qualify to work in this organization.
