Protective system broken

Protective system broken

Is it the budget cuts or people not doing their jobs? Maybe both. These days, people should be thankful they have a job, but what I notice is that a lot of people don't work at the job they have. It makes me angry. We're making cuts to the schools, but our kids are already at risk now and will be even more so as each cut occurs.

Our children continue to suffer, and when their parent or guardian can't protect them, the legal system/protective services are supposed to be their voice -- or so we think.

It is unfortunate that I recently looked to a number of social service departments for assistance with a health and safety issue. The outcome, however, was not helpful and left all at risk for future disaster, which I hope doesn't happen.

No, California doesn't pay the CPS workers, they work for the counties.

Child Protective Workers aren't worth $7 dollars an hour.

CPS does a lousy job of protecting children regardless of budget cuts and staff shortages. These excuses
surface whenever they get caught
screwing up.
