Sometimes it is just best to keep the child within their own home, some child welfare agencies are too quick to react and throw the children in foster care, before even thinking about putting in proper supports for the family beforehand. I hope the person who inflicted this on this poor baby gets put away for a long time and that child welfare will do more extensive screening on persepctive foster parents and even on existing ones to ensure that this doesnt happen again. Foster children are not puppies in a pound, they should be given the chance to safe, stable and loving homes, rather than throwing them in with whoever can take the poor kids, take them out of a potentially damaging family life and throw them in a worse one. it sickens me to think of other children today in foster homes being abused, esspecially the smallest ones, who can't speak of it.
