Dallas County deputy constable arrests wrong student on truancy warrant at Molina High
A Dallas County deputy constable arrested the wrong 15-year-old student this week when she served a warrant at an Oak Cliff high school.
Kalyn Scott was taken from her class at Molina High School on Monday and left the building in handcuffs, county officials said. Kallin Scott, the student sought by deputies for violating a court order on a truancy charge, is a 15-year-old boy who is no longer enrolled at the school.
The mistake was discovered when the girl arrived at a Dallas County truancy court later that day, county officials said. The next day, the girl's mother filed a complaint with the county, saying her daughter was wrongly detained.
