I know of this case as I live in NYC. I am a paralegal in NYC active in combating the misuse of social service laws against fit families.
Both Colleen and her brother are attorneys.
Her brother's children were threatened by DHS in MA. As far as I know, the Louis Piccone family fled from MA to Russia; his wife's birthplace.
I was born in the early 1950s-how ironic is this among my generation that a family must flee to Russia for sanctuary?
Godspeed to Colleen, her parents and her brother, Louis and their immediate families.
Listen up folks, if this can happen to the children of attorneys, what then happens to other children?
The system is broken owing to the lack of checks and balances in social services. The law is there but these bloody social workers do not follow the law; they are not taught to follow the law and they are not held accountable.
Again, Godspeed to Colleen and Louis.
