Missing teen, toddler back in Howard foster home

Missing teen, toddler back in Howard foster home

A 17-year-old female resident of a Howard County foster home and the 15-month-old child she was suspected of taking over the weekend from the home were found Monday evening back at the residence, Howard County police reported. Police said they were called about 6 p.m. by someone who reported seeing the teenager, Shante Chamblee, and the toddler, Ma'Kaiyla Davis, in the Elkridge area. After a search, police went to the foster home in the 6900 block of Scarlet Oaks Drive and found the girl and the toddler. Police said the toddler is the daughter of another resident of the foster home and that the mother was away during the weekend when the incident occurred. Both Chamblee and the toddler were in good health, and an investigation is continuing, police reported. Police said Chamblee had agreed to watch Davis while the girl's mother was away for the weekend. After learning that her foster mother would also not be home, police said, Chamblee took the toddler to the home of a former foster mother in Baltimore. Police said Chamblee was seen leaving a residence in the 1700 block of Simms Ave. in Northeast Baltimore about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The one to be charged here is the foster mother who left the home knowing full well that the 17 year old was on her own with the toddler.

Let's see if that will happen, LOL
