Foster Dad Calls for Changes in the System
Note: He wants to cut them off from their real parents faster.
Josh and Courtney Swain of Carbondale think of their four foster kids as their own. They want to adopt them and give them a home that’s much more stable than the one the boys came from.
But Josh Swain says the system is failing.
"This has been presented to case workers and attorneys and everyone is in agreement that the case isn't going in a positive direction, but currently the Illinois system doesn't allow for a speedy process in terminating these parents' rights," he said.
