Australia 'sorry' for child abuse
Note: As they should be.
Australian PM Kevin Rudd has apologised to the hundreds of thousands of people, some British migrants, who were abused or neglected in state care as children.
Note: And yet still the practice continues.
I admired Kevin Rudd's composition of his apology. The kind of character that we have sometimes depends on the childhood that we had. We can't take back our childhood but we can always look back at it on how we have been. I wonder how it feels like to be one of those children sent to Australia. I wonder how they feel after hearing Rudd's apology. Damage has been done and hopefully it won't happen again.
