Protection of children 'too reliant on social services'
TOO much reliance is placed on social services to protect vulnerable children in Wales, a report said today.
A major review of child protection procedures following the death of Baby P – Peter Connelly – in August 2007, reveals that many social workers are relatively inexperienced in child protection work.
